🔻 Hecate’s Crossroads Ritual
Here is a ritual for meeting Hecate at the crossroads, when your soul seeks clarity, release and direction, especially when you feel lost, numb, or on the edge of giving up.
🔻 HECATE’S CROSSROADS RITUAL
“I meet the keeper of keys. I bring no masks.”
Best done: after dark, during the waning moon (but not required)
Time needed: ~30 minutes
You’ll need:
- 3 black or white candles (or any three candles)
- A small key (real or symbolic), or draw one on paper
- A bowl of salt water
- Pen and paper
- A crossroad space (can be symbolic: indoors or outdoors; you can draw a crossroads on the ground with chalk, or sit at a literal intersection)
🔺 Step 1: Call Her In
Light the candles, placing them in a triangle around you. Say aloud:
“Hecate of the Threefold Way,
Torchbearer, Keeper of Thresholds,
Guardian of the In-Between,
I stand now at the crossroads of my soul.
Come, if it pleases you, and witness me without masks.”
Hold the key (or image) in your palm. It represents the choice you are ready to make, or the permission to leave what no longer serves.
🌑 Step 2: Confession
On the paper, write (don’t overthink):
- What you are exhausted from
- What you’re afraid is “too late”
- What you want to release forever
- What you’ve never fully said to anyone, but burns in you
When you finish, place the paper under the bowl of salt water. Say:
“These truths are not weakness.
They are my offering of raw soul.
I release all that binds me to distortion and guilt.”
Dip your fingers in the water and anoint your third eye and chest.
🔥 Step 3: Claim What You Choose
With your hand over the key (or holding it), declare:
“I revoke all soul contracts rooted in distortion, fear, and sacrifice.
I release all cords to illusions, roles, or systems that betray my spirit.
I accept the path of soul sovereignty—even if I walk it alone.”
Now ask Hecate aloud:
“What am I not seeing?
What have I already chosen that I haven’t yet accepted?
What truth will set me free?”
Sit in silence. Listen. Feel. She may respond with a knowing, a symbol, a phrase, or silence.
🗝️ Step 4: Final Offering + Close
Hold the key up and speak:
“This is mine now—my choice, my life, my exit, my return.”
Blow out the candles one by one, thanking her each time:
- “Thank you, Guardian.”
- “Thank you, Witness.”
- “Thank you, Keeper of Keys.”
Bury the paper or burn it when you're ready. If you used a real key, keep it on your altar or wear it as a reminder. If it was drawn, fold it into your journal.
